Sarah's Kabob Shop | Our Story

Named after our daughter, built for Greensboro

We opened Sarah's Kabob Shop in May 2012 with a simple promise: fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food made from scratch, every day. More than a decade later, that promise hasn't changed.
How we started

How we started

In May 2012, we opened a small family restaurant on Market Street in Greensboro and named it after the owner's oldest daughter, Sarah. It was a simple operation built on one idea: cook honest food and treat every guest like family.
Fresh ingredients, every single time

Fresh ingredients, every single time

Kabobs, shawarma, falafel, house-seasoned fries — everything is made in-house, never reheated from a bag. Quality ingredients, made by hand, every day.
Our halal commitment

Our halal commitment

Our chicken, gyro, and steak and cheese options are 100% halal — that's not a footnote, it's a foundation. We want every guest to sit down and eat with complete confidence in what's on their plate.

The loyalty of this community is what allowed us to move into our larger home at 5340 W Market St. We're grateful to every regular who brought a friend and every first-timer who came back the following week.
